Desde FES en Ecuador tenemos la convicción de que los feminismos pueden hacer contribuciones importantes para reformular los necesarios debates sobre los fracasos del capitalismo y las promesas incumplidas de más democracia y participación. Las coaliciones y los enlaces entre diversos feminismos y otros grupos que integran el colectivo de movimientos por la justicia social son indispensable para el desarrollo de propuestas y estrategias transformadoras.
Durante los dos últimos siglos, el movimiento feminista ha insistido vehementemente en que la justicia social es también cuestión de justicia de género. Los feminismos nos han aportado importantes herramientas para pensar y luchar contra las estructuras capitalistas y machistas que producen el sexismo, el racismo y el clasismo, pues reivindican la emancipación de las mujeres, y suponen que la condición de esa emancipación es la lucha de toda la humanidad contra las estructuras que producen injusticia y violencia.
