Durante el mes de maryo, el CIDDT y FES Ecuador presentarán la investigación de Gabriel Otero T." Evolución de los derechos laborales y sindicales en Ecuador, 2008-2023"
La presente investigación plantea estudiar las principales reformas institucionales y normativas que se adoptaron desde 2008 e incidieron en el mundo del trabajo, con énfasis en las relacionadas a los derechos sindicales. Para esto, se analizan las reformas en dos momentos: el primero, respecto a las relacionadas con los cambios institucionales del Ministerio del Trabajo, centrando la atención en las inspectorías del trabajo, como organismo encargado de verificar el cumplimiento de la normativa laboral a nivel nacional; se examina el rol del Consejo Nacional de Trabajo y Salarios, como ente tripartito encargado de proponer políticas de trabajo y definir los salarios y, de manera particular, la evolución de los salarios en el sector público como privado. En el segundo momento, se analiza las reformas relacionadas al derecho de libertad sindical, en donde se profundizará sobre la negociación y contratación colectiva en el sector privado y público. Finalmente, el estudio culmina con el detalle de las medidas que deben adoptarse para garantizar el goce efectivo de los derechos del trabajo, en concordancia con los instrumentos internacionales relacionados a la materia.
