Las relaciones de Colombia, Ecuador y Perú, en los últimos años han sido fluidas, sus niveles de intercambio comercial y fluidez en sus pasos fronterizos se han incrementado considerablemente y en algunos casos existen proyectos de infraestructura binacionales como pocas veces en la historia de los países andinos. Sin embargo, y a pesar de esta situación positiva, las políticas regionales de los tres países reflejan distintos modelos de desarrollo, lo que produce en muchos casos, divergencias de posiciones en esquemas regionales como UNASUR o la CAN.
Con estas consideraciones se hace necesario establecer un mecanismo de debate sobre las dinámicas de las relaciones vecinales de los tres países y realizar un acompañamiento académico a los importantes procesos políticos en marcha en la actualidad.
La Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES-ILDIS) en el Ecuador, en conjunto con la Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar (UASB), tienen el agrado de invitarles a participar en el Foro Público: Colombia, Ecuador y Perú: Relaciones vecinales mucho más que relaciones internacionales
